Good morning, my dear judges. I am No. 1 candidate. My topic is school life. Now I will begin my class.
Good morning, boys and girls, how are you today? Fine! Good! Great! I am great, too. Thanks for your asking. Are you ready for our English travel?
Boys and girls, do you know the student exchange program?
Not sure? That’s okay. Let’s enjoy a video clip about it. //The video is over. So, do you know it now? Kate please, oh, you said students can exchange their schools. Good answer. If you have a chance, do you want to be the exchange students? John please, you said yes because you can experience different school life. Very good. And you, Lucy? No, because you can’t speak English well. Good point.
Everybody, our friend Sally is also on a student exchange program. She comes from New York and she is in Beijing now. Look at the PowerPoint, here are a list of words from the passage. Do you know their meanings? What about the first one-"stressed out", (板书单词)Not sure? OK, suppose you want to pass the exam, but you always do badly, then you will be stressed out. Under pressure? Right, you are so clever. And the next one-improving It means you may not do well at first, but next time you do well. That’s "improving". Are you clear? Great. And the last word -host family, (板书单词) Bobby please, the owner of the house, nice work.
Everybody, please read these words together. Good reading. So, can you try to predict what the passage is mainly about? Jim please, maybe this passage mainly talks about Sally’s school life. Good guess. Cindy please, it’s about Sally’s living condition. Nice guess.
You may have different opinions, so let’s listen to the recording and find the main idea. (板书)Let’s get started.//
